Thomasville City Schools Calendar 2026–2027

Thomasville City Schools served 2,458 K–12 students within the city limits, while nearby Thomasville mailing addresses can also fall under Thomas County Schools. City residents ordinarily begin at Harper, Jerger or Scott Elementary, continue to MacIntyre Park Middle and then enter Thomasville High. The city-county boundary must be settled before any feeder question can be answered.

Scholars Academy creates a second secondary path for grades six through twelve. Admission is application-based and asks for teacher recommendations, report cards, two years of test information, a parent contract and a student writing component. The review uses a student dossier, while residence alone assigns the ordinary route.

For a city resident, MacIntyre Park Middle and Thomasville High remain the standard sequence unless Scholars Academy admission changes the placement. A Thomasville postal address outside the city follows the county district’s very different age-banded network. The two decisions—jurisdiction and Scholars Academy selection—operate at separate stages and should be checked in that order.
