Calhoun County Schools Calendar 2026–2027

Calhoun County Schools is the small southwest Georgia district based in Edison and Morgan, not the city system located in Gordon County. It enrolled only 424 K–12 students in 2024–25. Calhoun County Elementary, Calhoun County Middle and Calhoun County High form the complete ordinary progression, with all three schools listed at the same Cougar Lane campus address in Edison.

The shared site makes the district look like a single combined school from a distance, but the elementary, middle and high levels remain separately identified schools. Students move between grade organizations without moving into a competing feeder community, and there is no second comprehensive high school elsewhere in the county.

Calhoun County’s useful distinction is both geographic and institutional. It has no administrative relationship to Calhoun City Schools hundreds of miles to the north, despite the nearly identical name. Within the county system itself, scale and co-location define the experience: one small group of campuses provides the entire K–12 sequence from a common site. A search result that omits “City” or “County” can lead a family to the wrong end of the state.
