Brooks County Schools Calendar 2026–2027

Brooks County Schools begins with two ordinary elementary communities. Quitman Elementary and North Brooks Elementary each serve kindergarten through grade five, and their students then come together at Brooks County Middle and Brooks County High. Its 2,091 K–12 students experience local elementary assignment followed by one countywide secondary route.

Delta Innovative School is not a third feeder community. It serves secondary students who need an alternative structure, including computer-based coursework and course completion, and its grade span overlaps both the regular middle and high school. The district also lists early-learning and childcare services that operate before or outside the standard K–12 sequence. Neither type of program should be added to the count of ordinary neighborhood schools.

The school map becomes clear when the names are sorted by function. Quitman and North Brooks answer the elementary boundary question. Brooks County Middle and High are the normal points of convergence. Delta answers a placement and academic-recovery question, while early-learning programs serve younger children. A directory that places all of them on one level would make a compact two-feeder system appear much more fragmented than it is.
