Brantley County Schools Calendar 2026–2027

Brantley County Schools uses two different elementary designs before all 3,185 K–12 students converge for the secondary grades. Hoboken Elementary keeps children together from prekindergarten through grade six. Other communities divide those years between primary schools serving the early grades and upper-elementary campuses serving grades four through six. The first school change occurs at different ages depending on where a child lives.

The convergence also comes later than it does in a conventional K–5 system. Brantley County Middle serves only grades seven and eight, and Brantley County High begins with grade nine. A Hoboken student remains in one elementary building through grade six, while a student in one of the split primary/upper-elementary routes has already made an additional elementary transition before arriving at the same two-year middle school.

That mixed configuration is the central fact needed to interpret Brantley’s school calendar and directory. “Elementary” does not always mean the same grade span, and the absence of a sixth grade at the middle school is intentional. A countywide notice for grade six may belong to an elementary campus in every part of Brantley, but not necessarily to the same type of elementary campus.
