About Walton County Schools
Walton County Schools enrolled 14,308 K–12 students in nine elementary schools, three middle schools and three comprehensive high schools. Loganville, Monroe Area and Walnut Grove anchor the district’s three geographic clusters across a county that includes long-established towns and expanding metro-Atlanta development corridors.
Social Circle City Schools forms a separate municipal system within Walton County. A Social Circle mailing address can lead either to the city schools or to Walton County Schools according to the residence boundary. The county district uses the property’s physical address for zoning, so the postal city alone cannot settle the assignment.
The county’s feeder pattern is unusually clean once jurisdiction is known. Bay Creek, Loganville and Sharon elementary schools lead to Loganville Middle and High; Harmony, Monroe and Walker Park feed Carver Middle and Monroe Area High; Atha Road, Walnut Grove and Youth feed Youth Middle and Walnut Grove High. Each cluster keeps three elementary communities together from middle school through graduation.
