About Tattnall County Schools
Tattnall County Schools enrolled 3,289 K–12 students in two community-based routes that remain separate through eighth grade. North Tattnall Elementary feeds North Tattnall Middle, preserving the Reidsville-side route. South Tattnall Elementary and South Tattnall Middle serve the Glennville side. The two populations finally come together at Tattnall County High School.
This arrangement gives Tattnall a different shape from a county that consolidates all children at one middle school. Elementary residence continues to matter during adolescence because it determines which of the two middle schools a student attends. The common high school becomes the first countywide secondary campus and the point at which the northern and southern school communities merge.
The North or South designation attached to the assigned elementary school identifies most of the K–8 route. High-school planning becomes simpler when both paths converge. Tattnall is organized as two parallel feeder lines ending at one shared high school.
