Stewart County School District Calendar 2026–2027

Stewart County School District served 319 K–12 students across a large, sparsely populated Chattahoochee River county that includes Lumpkin, Richland, Omaha and Louvale. Its regular network remains three separate schools—elementary, middle and high—organized from Lumpkin. The small enrollment has concentrated instruction without collapsing the three grade levels into a single combined school.

Several services reach across that compact ladder. The district operates after-school and summer enrichment through 21st Century Community Learning Centers and maintains a school-based health clinic. At the high-school level, JROTC adds a regional leadership component, while dual-enrollment students have completed coursework and industry certifications through Columbus Technical College.

These arrangements connect a remote county to resources beyond its three buildings. The clinic brings health services onto the school system’s own grounds; the enrichment program extends the day and summer; Columbus Technical and JROTC widen the high-school network toward Columbus.
