Schley County Schools Calendar 2026–2027

Schley County Schools enrolled 1,170 K–12 students in a two-setting system centered on Ellaville. Schley County Elementary carries the early grades, while Schley County Middle/High School gathers the secondary population into one combined institution. The shared secondary name describes a continuous grades 6–12 setting, although middle- and high-school students still work within different age bands and course requirements.

That distinction becomes especially clear in Work-Based Learning and Youth Apprenticeship. These programs are designed for high-school students, connect paid or unpaid workplace experience to a defined career pathway, and can award academic credit. A sixth-grader and an eleventh-grader may report to the same combined school, yet only the older student can enter this employment-linked portion of the curriculum.

Schley’s physical map is straightforward, while its program map changes by grade. Every ordinary route moves from the elementary school to the combined secondary campus. Within that campus, opportunities open at different stages, and the 9–12 Work-Based Learning process adds employers and apprenticeship arrangements. The building contains a middle-school stage and a high-school stage, each with its own eligibility rules.
