Houston County Schools Calendar 2026–2027

Houston County Schools served 29,683 K–12 students through five comprehensive high schools—Houston County, Northside, Perry, Veterans and Warner Robins—but the district’s most unusual complexity appears much earlier. Several attendance areas divide elementary education between a primary campus for prekindergarten through second grade and a paired grades 3–5 school. Bonaire, David Perdue, Lake Joy, Langston Road and Matt Arthur all use that model, and C.B. Watson students continue to Pearl Stephens.

Other neighborhoods remain in one PK–5 building. Two children assigned to the same future middle or high school can have different numbers of elementary transitions. The school pair is not an optional program: the address can assign the younger child to one building and the older sibling to the adjacent or corresponding upper-elementary campus.

The pattern expanded again for 2026–27. Parkwood and Westside now share one zone, with Parkwood Primary serving pre-K through grade two and Westside Elementary receiving grades three through five. Older directories that list both as full PK–5 schools describe the arrangement before the August 2026 change.

Houston County has no separate Warner Robins municipal school system. City names help identify campuses, but the district boundary, the paired elementary assignment and the later middle/high feeder are three different pieces of the route. In many zones, knowing only the eventual high school is not enough to identify where a third-grader attends.
