Jefferson County Schools Calendar 2026–2027

Jefferson County Schools enrolled 1,907 K–12 students while maintaining three community elementary entrances. Carver Elementary, Louisville Academy and Wrens Elementary each serve PK–5. Their students converge at Jefferson County Middle and then Jefferson County High, creating one shared secondary system across the county.

Louisville Academy is the name most likely to distort the map. It is a regular elementary school for the Louisville attendance community, not a countywide selective academy. Carver and Wrens perform the same basic feeder role in their own parts of the county. The three names describe where younger children begin, not different academic admission tracks.

The county’s later grades are much more centralized than its early grades. A family in Louisville, Wrens or the Carver community may retain a local elementary identity through fifth grade, but sixth grade begins the shared county route. Jefferson County’s structure is neither a single K–12 campus nor three complete feeder pyramids: it is three PK–5 communities feeding one middle and one high school.
