Haralson County School District Calendar 2026–2027

Haralson County School District begins with two parallel early-grade routes. In the Buchanan area, children attend Buchanan Primary through grade two and Buchanan Elementary for grades three through five. The western route uses Tallapoosa Primary followed by West Haralson Elementary. Both groups then converge at Haralson County Middle and Haralson County High.

The arrangement means the district’s 3,348 K–12 students share the same grade breaks but not the same pair of elementary campuses. Haralson County Rebel Academy adds a grades 6–12 alternative setting whose enrollment is based on program or placement needs, not on a third residential feeder area.

Bremen City Schools operates independently near the county’s eastern side. A Bremen or Haralson-area address must be checked against the municipal boundary before applying the Buchanan or Tallapoosa route. Inside the county district, the elementary pair is determined geographically; after fifth grade, the ordinary path becomes countywide. Rebel Academy remains a separate intervention route layered onto the district’s two ordinary secondary communities.
