Habersham County Schools Calendar 2026–2027

Habersham County Schools separates the freshman year from the remainder of high school. After one of three middle schools, the district’s 7,067 K–12 students attend Habersham Ninth Grade Academy in Mount Airy. They then move to Habersham Central High for the upper high-school grades.

State directories may list Habersham Central across grades nine through twelve because the two schools belong to one broader secondary program, but the district operates a distinct ninth-grade campus with its own registration, staff, events and daily organization. A rising freshman needs Ninth Grade Academy information even when a transcript or statewide record connects the student to Habersham Central.

Habersham Success Academy is a separate grades 6–12 alternative setting, not another ordinary feeder or a second freshman center. The county’s current route is neighborhood elementary, one of three middle schools, a countywide ninth-grade academy and then Habersham Central. The school names become accurate only when the operational campus and the broader high-school identity are both kept in view.
