Bleckley County Schools Calendar 2026–2027

Bleckley County’s ordinary progression is a four-stage sequence in and around Cochran: Bleckley County Primary, Bleckley County Elementary, Bleckley Middle and Bleckley County High. Its 2,444 K–12 students change campuses at common grade breaks within one countywide secondary route.

Bleckley County Success Academy is the exception that makes the school list look more complex. The academy began as an alternative program and later became a separate school serving grades six through twelve. Its daily organization differs from the regular middle- and high-school schedule: middle-grade students attend for a full day, while high-school students have been organized into separate daily sessions. The academy also relies heavily on computer-based coursework.

Success Academy should not be treated as a second middle-to-high feeder path. It is a specialized route for selected students within the same county system, located near the regular middle school but governed by different placement and scheduling needs. For most families, grade level alone identifies the next campus. For an academy student, program placement—not home address—determines the setting and the shape of the school day.
