Baldwin County School District Calendar 2026–2027

Baldwin County’s elementary map changed for 2026–27. The district consolidated the former Midway Hills Primary and Midway Hills Academy into one K–5 Midway Hills Elementary campus, ending the additional building change that Midway-zone children previously made between the early and upper elementary grades. Lakeview continues to use an age-banded pair—Lakeview Primary followed by Lakeview Academy—so the district’s 4,212 K–12 students no longer encounter the same elementary configuration in both major zones.

The current directory also mixes ordinary K–12 schools with programs that serve very different purposes. Baldwin High and Oak Hill Middle are the countywide secondary schools. Baldwin Early College is a college-linked pathway with no address-based attendance zone of its own. The Early Learning Center and its Montessori Academy serve children before the regular K–12 progression; the Montessori partnership should not be added to the count of elementary attendance zones simply because it appears in the district’s school menu.

Baldwin is best understood as a system in which one elementary route has just been simplified while another retains its primary-to-academy transition. Older enrollment data and archived pages may still show two Midway schools because that was the operating structure before the consolidation. For current families, the relevant questions are whether the address lies in the Midway or Lakeview area and whether the student is using the ordinary feeder path or a separately admitted early-college or early-childhood program.
