About Vidalia City Schools
Vidalia City Schools enrolled 2,141 K–12 students in a four-stage municipal sequence. J.D. Dickerson Primary serves prekindergarten through grade one, Sally D. Meadows Elementary covers grades two through five, J.R. Trippe Middle receives grades six through eight and Vidalia High serves grades nine through twelve.
The early split is distinctive. Children leave the primary campus after first grade, then spend four years at Sally Meadows before the middle-school transition. Across those stages, the district has developed a Woz ED STEM strand from the primary years through high school, creating continuity and keeping STEM embedded inside the four regular schools.
Vidalia City Schools operates independently from Toombs County Schools, which also serves communities in the surrounding county. A Vidalia-area address must first be assigned to the city or county jurisdiction. Within the city system, grade level then determines one of the four campuses, and the STEM work remains embedded across that ordinary ladder.
