Dublin City Schools Calendar 2026–2027

Dublin City Schools serves 2,225 K–12 students through two regular elementary campuses with distinct instructional identities. Hillcrest is organized around the LEAP model and Susie Dasher around STEAM, but both serve the same broad PK–4 age range. Students leave elementary school after fourth grade and enter Dublin Middle for grades five through eight before continuing to Dublin High.

Fifth grade at the middle school is the structural fact most likely to be missed. It gives Dublin Middle a four-grade span and makes the transition a year earlier than the conventional Georgia pattern. Moore Street Facility provides a separate grades 6–12 setting for students using an alternative route, while Irish Gifted Academy and College and Career Academy opportunities add program choices that do not create another neighborhood feeder line.

Dublin City Schools is independent from Laurens County School District, which serves surrounding communities and also uses Dublin-area addresses. A child’s postal city does not settle which system applies. Inside the city district, the ordinary choice is not among multiple high-school clusters; it is between two early-grade environments that converge at grade five, with specialized programs governed by their own admission or placement rules.
