Clay County Schools System Calendar 2026–2027

Clay County Schools System enrolled only 170 K–12 students, and its own school network stops after eighth grade. Clay County Elementary serves the early grades and Clay County Middle serves grades six through eight. The district directory contains no local grades 9–12 campus.

That absence is the defining feature of the system, not a missing line in an ordinary feeder chart. A Clay County child can complete elementary and middle school inside the county district, but high-school placement depends on a receiving arrangement outside this two-school structure. The applicable destination and enrollment procedure should be confirmed directly with the district because the local attendance right does not lead to a Clay County high school.

Clay is unlike Georgia’s small three-school county systems. It operates a complete local program only through middle school and must connect older students to another public-school provider. Calling the district “small” alone would miss the practical consequence: after grade eight, the most important transition crosses from Clay County Schools into a receiving school system.
