About Troup County Schools
Troup County Schools counted 11,736 K–12 students in three geographic high-school communities centered on Callaway, LaGrange and Troup County high schools. Their elementary and middle feeders establish the ordinary attendance routes across LaGrange, West Point, Hogansville and the surrounding county.
Three secondary settings serve different purposes beside those routes. THINC College and Career Academy connects students with college and career coursework. Troup County Career Center adds technical training and shared facilities. HOPE Academy is a small grades 6–12 alternative program with a defined intake process, a capacity of about 90 students and an expectation that many students transition back to their home school when ready.
These names occupy different parts of the secondary map. THINC and the Career Center expand coursework for students connected to the broader system. HOPE changes the daily placement for a limited, referred population and keeps the home-school relationship relevant to eventual return. The Callaway, LaGrange or Troup County attendance community remains the organizing base for an ordinary resident student.
