Social Circle City Schools Calendar 2026–2027

Social Circle City Schools enrolled 1,928 K–12 students in an independent municipal system located within Walton County. Resident students move through four age-banded schools: Social Circle Primary for prekindergarten through grade two, Social Circle Elementary for grades three through five, Social Circle Middle for grades six through eight and Social Circle High for grades nine through twelve. The city system and Walton County Schools maintain separate residency lines.

Social Circle also keeps a formal path for some nonresident students. For 2026–27, the published tuition is $2,425.50 per semester. Eligible Newton County students are handled under a separate intergovernmental agreement, giving that group a different financial and administrative route from the standard tuition application.

The school sequence itself is countywide within the city system; grade level determines each campus after residency has been established. The more complicated question is who may enter from outside the district and under which authority. A Social Circle postal address, a Walton County residence, a Newton County agreement and a tuition-approved nonresident application can lead to different outcomes even when the desired school is the same.
