About Madison County School System
Madison County School System enrolled 4,971 K–12 students in five community elementary schools—Colbert, Comer, Danielsville, Hull-Sanford and Ila—followed by one middle school and one high school. The county’s local identities remain visible through fifth grade, then the system becomes countywide.
Broad River College and Career Academy adds a regional dimension at the secondary level. It operates in connection with Madison County High and postsecondary and neighboring-system partners, allowing students to pursue career pathways without creating another attendance-zone high school. Its location and institutional name can make it look like a separate destination in the directory, but the academy is integrated with the existing high-school program.
The important transition is not from one high-school cluster to another. It is the convergence of five elementary communities at Madison County Middle, followed by one comprehensive high school whose students may use the academy’s specialized facilities and partnerships. Broad River changes course access; it does not divide the county into a second feeder pyramid.
